Our last week of work consisted mainly of getting wood from the farm, bringing it back to Obuse, and cutting it up. We enjoyed this work. We got to use a bunch of power tools which is always fun, and work outside. We also got to go to the farm which was always a welcome ...

Today was a day off from work. It is currently +4 C here! So beautiful and sunny that I had to take my ********** and roll up my shirt sleeves! Miss everyone back home!

2. beef soup with carrot, mushroom and diakon
3. 3 kinds of sashimi with fresh wasabi, diakon, and little spicy red leaves

The presentation was awesome, and it tasted great too. It was a fairly good bargain too. I embarrassed Brittany by taking pictures of all the dishes, but you can see how good it looked.

It is a tradition in the New Year people purchase a Dharuma doll (they very in size and price 300-7000 yen). They come with the eyes unpainted as you can see the picture. When you set a goal or make a wish you paint in one eye. When the goal is reached or the wish comes true, you paint in ...
