Wednesday evening we arrived in Salzburg. It was quite a long walk from the train station to our hotel though- probably a good 20 minutes- but we found it with little trouble. One lady had to help us along the way. We checked in and rested for a little while before getting dinner. This was our favorite hotel of the whole trip. ... an automatic like the other Americans. I pulled out a pic of my race car and said "this is what I like to drive". They're europeans....they are sufficiently impressed with someone who drives a formula car. They oooo'd and ahhhhh'd sufficiently, needed no further explaination as to why I wanted a car that had a shifter, were very helpful in transferring us into a new car and we headed back towards Germany and Berchtesgaden.
