... themed restaurant in Altstadt. After lunch I convinced mom they needed to try the Sachertorte (another tradition dessert of the area). We went into the actual shop though so it was a little expensive, so we only bought a very small piece. I think they liked it though.

Lost day, unexpected Austria
... thought it quite appropriate to thumb our nose at their memory and we had dinner at a Chinese restaurant. It was quite good, finished out with a warm plum wine they give the customers...which was a nice touch.
Tomorrow....Bechtesgaden in the daylight.
(By the way....before we left the states, I paid $100 dollars to download europe maps onto my personal GPS. This has been the best $100 dollars I have ever spent.)

We went to Vienna and attended a ball. It was exactly like in fairy tales (Cinderella). Of course no one knew how to waltz so we had to take classes.
