Historical Traveler Reviews Harvest House Bed and Breakfast Springdale

Loved Harvest House

from ArtW

Tom and Mary Ann did a great job of making our two nights a very enjoyable experience. This is a top-notch location for visiting Zion National Park and they made the experience as enjoyable as it could be. The Watchman suite has the best views from the balcony outside your room. We found the August heat was not a problem and the traffic in town and park was lighter than other months since the heat kept others away.

Great Place to Relax

from Anitaxyz

My husband and I stayed at Harvest House in June of this year and were very happy we chose it. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated and the living room was availble for the guests to relax and watch TV. The breakfasts were delicious and filling and artfully served. Aunt Janice is a great baker and Tom a great cook. Each day we had something different. The rooms were comfortable and had great views of the mountains. Tom was very friendly and a gracious host. We would recommend Harvest House to anyone who was planning a trip to Zion National Park.

Beautiful site, wonderful hospitality

My wife and I loved this beautiful bed and breakfast, nestled in Zion Canyon. We could actually ride the trolley bus from Springdale directly to the various stops in Zion National Park.

Tom and his daughter Kara were extremely hospitable. They were able to share interesting facts about the Park and made us feel quite at home. The breakfasts were wonderful too!

Our view from our room was awesome; since we were in the canyon, huge canyon walls were visible on all sides.

This was a delightful experience.

! Amazing View, Breakfast!

from DUNBAR2003

Tom and Aunt Janice prepare amazing breakfasts. Simply AMAZING! They are genuine people who are great to talk with about the local area or anything under the sun. Me and my girlfriend stayed there when finishing our trip around the grand circle. I'm so glad we started with Bryce so we finished in Zion at Harvest House. For breakfast we had stuffed baked blueberry french toast with homemade yogurt and lots more during that day alone.

The last reviewer was right but I wanted to quell any doubts, any of past negative reviews are written when Harvest House was under different owners. I was happy with every bed and breakfast I stayed at in Utah, but this one was far superior to the rest. The room was large, had a balcony with a beautiful view for sunrise. Great stay and would be back in a heartbeat.

LOVED this place

from Andryncer

What a treat! This B&B was warm, comfortable, and clean. Aunt Janice and Tom welcomed us openly, and made us feel at home-only better! Food was delicious, Aunt Janice is quite a baker. Tom was a wealth of information about the area and the park. They welcomed us openly and treated us like old friends. Kind and considerate. Rooms were comfortable and imaculate, with all the touches that you hope to find in a 5-star. The bed was comfortable, slept like a rock! The hot tub was just what we needed after a days hike, and the starlit sky made it feel almost magical. The views are breathtaking, and it is only a stone throw from the Zion park entrance.

I was surprised to see negative reviews, but then realized they were posted for previous owners. I knew it couldnt be the same place we stayed, because these owners really know how to make a B&B exprerience fabulous. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did, say hello to Tom and Aunt Janice for us while you are there. We will be back!

Great time!

The Harvest House is a wonderful retreat. We enjoyed the room, food and the new owners. Tom and Aunt Janice were the best hosts and the baked goods are to die for!

We will be back.

Beware

from bozza

we stayed here for 3 nights and wish we'd only stayed 1!!

we like to stay in B & B's when touring usa as you meet other travellers and after staying at the Sheridan House in Williams which was fantastic when the original owners were there we were looking forward to this stay. How wrong we were!

Breakfast was awful! cereal, bread and omlettes, and if you came down late, forget it!

The room we had was nice although we never had our towels changed or the bed made as you had to request that that the owners came into your room but we were made to feel like it was too much effort for them to do that.

didn't use the hot tub as we would have liked as it was always covered.

also the owners went to bed at 9pm every night so if we got chatting in the sitting room we were made to feel as though we had to retire as well.

Very much over priced and not welcoming at all.

Find somewehere else to enjoy this beautiful canyon.

Harvest House B & B

Don't expect a friendly face here or any breakfast before 8 am. Lousy - cheap and tacky, unfriendly and expensive! What more do I need to say?

Excellent Accommodation

from ManOfClay

David and Elaine gave us a room at short notice when another B&B establishment had double booked and could not take us despite our reservation. The rooms arevery pleasant and clean, the beds wonderfully comfortable, the food good and the setting fabulous. Very hospitable and helpful hosts, and we hope to visit again before too long. Thoroughly recommended.
