... any of the stops, we met a full sized tour bus navigating the narrow, treed roads of the island so the tour must be a popular one.

We checked out the second bookstore and walked the harbour checking out the visiting yachts. I was also able to check out the site for a possible future show. I must get my application submitted!

The rest of the day was spent sunning and reminiscing. A welcome break from touring.

... Icefields Parkway to lake Peyto. Only a 20 minute climb, which was tiring after we had done so much, and was obviously too much for Jon as he turned back. I couldn't miss this though and struggled on. The views were indescribable, it looks as if the lake simply went into a glacier sheet of ice. We settled into our hotel and took a walk down to Stanley ...

... so much to see. Our two hosts, Brandi and Jas wined and dined us as if we were in First Class. So much fun, especially the stories they shared about previous trips up the mountain. Over and over they had us hook line and sinker. With so much space per couple in the carriage it was very easy to swap from side to side to see the many and varied features along the journey. I'm sure that Brandi would announce 'bear on the left' just to ...

Farewell to our rather flash 3.5 roomed suite we have enjoyed for the last four nights as we head to Vancouver Island. There has been much ado about the weather we have had this week with several records being broken with the high temps. Gather it is quite unseasonal. I am just happy to see another calm, blue sky day so the sea behaves itself for us to get across it. ...
