        Lot of construction happening in this area.

        Decided to take the long subway trip to Coney Island to walk along the boardwalk and see the beach. It is a cross between the Royal Easter Show and Luna Park by the sea.

        ... travelled through Connecticut, and finally reached New York and its condensed traffic. As we approached NY City there was a storm and heavy rain, and we reflected on how fortunate we were to have such great weather for two weeks. Some folks were dropped at JFK Airport, and the remainder returned to the NY Marriott East Side hotel about 5.45 pm.         Breakfast was had at 8.45 on this beautifully, extremely clear day. The view to Manhattan was even more stunning than ever. Daisy brought us a couple of croissants, as she knew we liked them and they usually ran out quickly.
