... multi-lane highway. There is an incident on the highway, with a car stopped in the middle lane. The bus stops too, and we watch a young man carrying the body of a dog across three lanes to deposit it on the sidewalk. The dog is obviously dead or dying from the size of the puddle of blood beside his head. The bus driver gets on the phone for a while, probably reporting the incident, before we carry on.

The bus takes us right into the park and leaves us close ...

... which takes us across nearly the entire country of Canada.

We made the trip across Canada without a hitch, but Toronto was experiencing a snow storm of 6 inches or so, and they were using only one runway. This was causing some delays and we were in a hold for 30 minutes before landing, we still made it close to schedule, landing at 4:30pm.

... each, we start our descent in YVR and we are home. Going through customs is a breeze and we take a cab for north Vancouver. We are grateful to be home once again and fortunate of the opportunity to have experienced Africa.
