... Garten. Er war relativ groß aber nicht so vielfältig wie wir ihn uns vorgestellt hatten. Es gab einige Landschaften, den Stone Garden, einen australischen und einen Rose Garden. Eines der größten Vergnügen war es die Enten im Duck Pond zu beobachten. Leider waren wir an einem Sonntag dort, somit hatten die Gewächshäuser zu. Natürlich holte uns dann auch der gewohnte Regen ein, also machten wir uns auf den Rückweg.

... fald positivt overrasket (: Efter den guidede tur blev vi kørt til Rotorua – hvilket ca. tog en times tid. Med det samme vi kom til Rotorua, kunne vi lugte at her lugter af rådne æg. Puha :P Vi tjekkede ind på vores hostel, gik i bad og skrev dagbog. Herefter tog vi med en bus ud til en Maori by. Bus turen tog ca. 20 min. Og vores guide fortalte en masse og Maori'erne, som er de indfødte her på New Zealand. Det var rigtig spændende, og han forstod rigtig at få folk i stemning. ...

... the car-park at the top of the trail (parts of which were LOTR settings) and took in the panorama of the city. As three tourist buses pulled up we promptly made our way in the opposite direction to a different, deserted viewing platform nearby. After watching the ferries and planes make their way into and out of the city we headed back down to the front for a well-deserved ice-block.

Today we got the boat over to Wellington, this was an expense that we did not think about and set us back about 120 pound. This was the 1st proper city we had been to as the south island was so small and their only big city was flattened by earthquakes. We went to the i-site to ask about campgrounds and they were all ridiculously expensive or really far away so we decided to go round to all the backpacker hostels and ask them if we could stay in there car park.
