... the old courthouse, an adobe building with 18 inch mud brick walls. Nelly and Jim gave us a lovely welcome lunch at Double Eagle Restaurant on this plaza. This is a very interesting building, first an old home dating back to 1849. Each room in the restaurant has special features or furnishings or a story.The other building we walked through was La Posta, a colourful restaurant with lots of history too.

We have an appointment in Tucson, Arizona to get some maintenance on the old RV, so we pack up and bid the City of Crosses a fond farewell. We hear that Tucson has some really great southwestern cuisine. We are ready for that!

Today, we arrived in Las Cruces under much better driving conditions. After getting set up, we went over to Maurine's house to visit with her, Kenisha, Maurice, and David.
