The ride was short from Tucson to Las Cruces (about 4 hours) but the weather sucked. It was cold, rainy and dreary. At times it was raining so hard it was hard for me to drive. The entire time I was thinking about this trip never did I think I'd hit rain in the southwest. I figured clear blue skies until Arkansas. I was totally wrong. ... elevator back up. It's about 800 feet of elevation loss from the entrance to the lower caverns, and the walkway is pretty nice so not a huge burden on two sets of sore calves.

... I found a red that I actually liked - a local wine called Plum-Loco. Very tasty. And appropriately named for me.

Then dinner at an Italian place that ALSO had wine tasting. Jim did his thing with his six different tastings, but I decided diet Coke was my drink at that point.

Then back to Mac for bed and - maybe - an early start tomorrow. Nah!
