      April 10th Thursday. Up to a somewhat sunny day. Maid was to come this am so headed north to Lumahai Beach. It is too dangerous to swim so did a two mile plus walk in the sand. Hard walking but good for us. Most steps had us sinking 4 -6 inches into the sand. Finally at end of beach, through a jungle, was a safe place to swim.       ... Our tour guide said if you cook any, you boil them with a lava rock and when the rock is soft, the chickens might be tender enough to eat. All the guides talked the whole time and had funny stories to tell. I actually saw a sign posted not to feed the feral cats or wild chickens. Hmmm

      ... mango, and passion fruit flavors... so yummy! Zack got a coffee and chocolate flavored shave ice (not my fav) and Josh got one that had a mix of mango, pineapple, and sour cherry. The sour cherry was ridiculously good. It was tart, but sweet... we intended to go back in the week so we could all get the sour cherry, but it never happened. Oh well, next time... we're already planning a trip back. ;)
