... I sat with the dancers and had a glass of wine. For some reason it got to my head quicker than ever, I had a few drinks and had a really good time! After that we went down to Steph’s passenger cabin that she has for this last cruise and ordered room service! What an incredible burger.
So in the end my birthday was great! And I got to open my last 5 cards from my family which made me feel very loved, so thank you all for ...

... case of a, well, emergency. We were also told that a clothing store in town was offering a huge sale because the lava flow was predicted to pas through the store. All this is crazy, right? I am still shaking my head.

Cheaper to eat out!) and relaxed for the rest of the evening. Weather permitting, we will see more of the volcano park tomorrow. ...

We even spent a little bit in the gift shop at the top. They had some cool hand-crafted tiles and would look fantastic in a kitchen. We ended up getting an ornament for the Christmas tree, because hey, what says holidays more than a bird of paradise?

... coming out.

It was fun climbing over the lava, and we really did take our time and explore, but we eventually hit rainforest again, and made the climb out.

We drove down the Chain Of Craters road towards the South coast, and past different lava flows from as recently as the '80s, stopping occasionally to explore a bit and check out the views. Zac stayed in the car at one spot while Sal and I stood on top off ...
