... like it had skin problems. I couldn't help but wonder if this had anything to do with the radiation that has been released from the nuclear power plant in Japan. I've read how the plant has released huge amounts of radiation into the Pacific which is affecting many marine life. I've read conflicting reports that say some of the stuff is overblown, but there definitely seemed to be something amiss about this seal. I really hope that wasn't the case.

... including two pineapple statues ordered from the Sears and Roebuck catalog. Many movies have been filmed here, and we sat on the Morton Fig tree made famous because this is where the dinosaur eggs were found in Jurassic Park.

I learned some interesting facts today: only about 10% of the plant life here is native to the island. The rest came from seeds carried by either the water, the wind, or the wing (birds). ...

... stuff, so unfortunately we couldn't swim. It was a nice beach.

We went all the way to Haena Beach. It was beautiful there! We walked along the beach for a while with our feet in the water, taking in the wonderful views.

The sun was starting to set and we still had a long way to drive back, so we had to go... We wished we didn't have to. The views of the mountains on the way back were also great.
