... but as I found out, none of the free internet access on the island is much better than what we pay 25 cents a minute for on the ship. So I sat ordered an iced coffee and settled in for the long haul – three hours and several walks around the block later, the upgrade was done!!! I must say I was very thankful to the folks at the café because when I explained my dilemma, the owner said “Just leave your phone here plugged into my power strip and go walk ...

... along with one and four spoons. This looked far more sensible. By the time we get to Hanalei, it is late afternoon. Our beach condo is right at the water's edge and has amazing views. ... bottle for Ben. Funny story! The night before, I had filled up Ben's bottle with water and placed it into the freezer for the big Kalalau trail hike. When I opened the freezer, I was saddened to see that I had not left enough room for the expansion of the water as it turned to ice and so the ice busted the bottle. Luckily we did not go hike that day and found another bottle for Ben! Phew! Crisis averted, but I will miss that green glow in the dark bottle:(

... I just knew I needed to check it out by air!! So I hopped on my first helicopter ride and did just that. It was simply amazing. So glad I did it. My last few days in Kauai I spent back on the south side with my friends, old and new!! Goodbyes are always the worst. I hated leaving, but now was just given another reason to keep on going back. I miss you all so much...until next time!!

    Thanks for reading :):)
