... guy told them to wear long pants and bring a jacket, and I was mumbling because of the heat and the slimy lava!....That wasn't the end of it...We go to the Cloud Forest....(called that because of the rain fall totals of 75 to 100 inches of rain a year...over 100 and it's a rain forest) and now we walk on an uphill path cover in roots that stick up over 3-4 inches and slimy moss. Early start to the day leaving our resort at six-thirty am heading to the southern tip of the island for a date with the giant sea turtles. Heavy rain made the driving difficulty.
