... The only disappointment for me was the fact that I noticed a large amount of the products on sale were not necessarily sourced locally and perhaps for example the jams and chutneys or chocolates and snacks on offer could have been supplied from businesses a little more Cumbrian .

His son, Donald, later set consecutive records in the 50's and 60's, and at one point, actually held the land and water speed records at the same time.
