... and then got upto the ice with special boots and crampons (metal spikes). It was the weirdest experience walking through the icy hills in the valley. We also went into an ice cave. For that we had to literally crawl through a really small gap that led us to a huge cave. Once in, it was so beautiful to see the icy cap above you and the walls around you! ... before reaching Picton. We boarded the ferry and spent the boat ride watching the rest of Sherlock and eating some fast food, I wasn't sick! HOORAY! We're staying in Wellington for the next few days catching up with some old and new friends, when we got out of the car, I was nearly blown away! They do say Wellington is the windy city, I'm glad it's living up to it's reputation!

Nun Heute ist Reisetag. In der Nacht hatte es zweimal so heftig gebebnet, dass ich erwacht bim. Der ganze Camper wurde geschüttelt, dass es nur so klapperte. Ein beängstigendes Gefühl, wenn wir auch in einem Camper im Freien sehr sicher waren. Die beiden Beben waren gemäss GeoNet 5.1 und 5.5. In den letzten 24 Stunden gab es zusätzlich über 20 kleinere Beben zwischen 3 und 4, welch wir je nach Situation nicht mitbekamen.
Weit mehr gewackelt hat ...
