... another couple from Washington and visited with the for a bit. It's always fun to share stories and campsites with others of the same ilk. It was a hot one here today, getting up to eighty six degrees. We did sit out under the awning and read a bit, kept tolerably cool by the breeze. We have electric power for the next two nights, so the AC was a great help.

Who knows what Carson would have answered, but I do know it was cold here last night. We have no electric, but Grandma's quilt kept us warm. i got up at six AM to get the coffee going and watch the sunrise. I turned on the gas below the pot and tried the propane lighter... no luck. I tried again...the same. Finally I put the lighter in the flow of heat from the furnace. After a few moments "thawing out", it worked. That's cold, ...

... now live. We were in that area last year but didn't realize she was there so made a point of getting in touch with her this year. We had a great visit sharing memories and catching up on news of our families and mutual Girl Scout friends.
One of the hikes we had not had time to do last year was the trail to Seven Falls in Sabino Canyon so we went hiking the one afternoon. The trail was busy and the mountains were definitely drier than the Superstitions so ...
