We rose early again and headed further west on I-10 to Mission San Xavier outside Tuscon. We had a wonderful tour guide who explained much of the history of this area. In 1692 FR. Kino, an Italian Jesuit priest, visited the area and was the originator of a mission on this site,as well as many in the area and northern Mexico. ... walk around by ourselves and see it covered in white powder. It was very beautiful.
On our third day we started an overnight trip down into the canyon. Once down the bottom we realised that the river had grown from the slim sliver we had peered at from the top, into a torrent 40m across, giving us a new appreciation for the size of it all. ... my plane left for the mainland on the next morning so I had to sleep at the airport. I looked for a sleeping place at about 2 o'clock in the morning. Several people were lying on the ground or on benches so I did the same (it’s handy if you have all your camping stuff with you). At 4:30 the security woke me up because they didn’t want people to sleep on the ground after they opened the airport. I looked for a bench to sleep another hour before I got on the plane.

... screens, entertainment centers, storage drawer for our personal items, and the best part--lay flat beds. We received great amenity kits, and of course had a wonderful four course meal. the service was great and the attendants were so friendly and professional. Everything put together will make flying any other way very hard to do:)
