... though and I ended up talking to Mark and Dad, and then Mum and Paul for a while. Then Hayley called Dane so we didn’t actually leave to go food shopping till midday in the end.

We picked Arizona’s state grocery store Fry’s to make a change from Walmart or Target, and it was lovely. A bit like HEB in Texas, more upmarket with a huge fresh produce section and a fantastic deli counter. We bought lots of fruit, veg and salad, and then spent ages ...

... over here, you get what we call a long black? Not knowing this, I asked for an extra shot in my ice coffee.. The gang realize that they usually either see me with coffee, energizer, Mountain Dew, or red bull. This concerned them. After eating a pumpkin and cream cheese muffin, we met the tour guide, and the 6 Trekkers who did the helicopter ride across the Grand Canyon.





Once we left the Grand Canyon we hit the all famous Route ...

A three hour wait at Phoenix Sky Harbor, but at least we're in one of the airport lounges. So we're stuffing ourselves on pretzels, reviewing our itinerary, and yes ... I'm repacking! Everything was all organized for TSA, but we didn't have to do a thing! Straight through, shoes and all! This trip is starting off on the right foot ;) ...

Unfortunately this room was now heaving with people because everyone was just in the movie theater. ... from our room window about 8 floors above as they were married in the 2nd floor garden deck.
We went out shopping at another Outlet location, our Suitcases now number 7 after leaving with just 3 although Ellie has contributed 2 of those as it was way too expensive to ship her things back to Oz, our total allowance for the return flight to Brisbane is 8 pieces at 23Kg each and O feel that we might just get there after our time in LA.
Off to another stepping stone ...
