... quit, and just say I've done enough already. That was not a helpful thought to put into my head. But I trudged forward and guess what? Not "brutal." It's not so bad. ... Breakfast called The Charlston, right in the midst of the Village. After a long hot shower we wandered down to the village for a look around. It was absolutely charming. We stopped off at 'Bentleys' for supper/drinks then back to settle in for the night. As we approached the porch a skunk scurried across our path, too quick for a photo unfortunately, but was another critter to add to the list.

Tomorrow would be our last full day on the road…where will we end ...

Today was a good day exploring Vermont. We saw lots of great covered bridges. Designed like this to stop the bridges getting icy and also to preserve their longevity. We stopped at the Bridge of Flowers, saw glacial potholes, iconic white churches and generally some beautiful driving. No festival in Woodstock but enjoying the tranquil town! Next stop New ...
