    Hungry Dogs

Mom was up when I woke up. She'd already taken all the dogs out, so I made pancakes and eggs for breakfast. I woke Chris up with coffee in bed, but he wanted none of that! I stood at the foot of the bed and antagonized him for a minute then exited while giggling to myself. The dogs came in after me and jumped on the bed. He would be up for breakfast in no time! Ha ha!

Mom woke Steve up, and Chris emerged grumpily from the bedroom. I gave him his coffee and he ...

I woke up at 2:30 pm after sleeping for only two hours. Mom was up too, so we took the dogs for a walk. Blue and Koah were still joined at the hip, so we decided to let them off their leashes and run around a bit. They tore off into the tall grass side by side and disappeared. The two of them are like lightening bolts. After a while, we called for them and heard nothing.

We finally arrived at the cabin at 9 am. We'd been traveling for thirteen hours, and all of us had reached our respective limits. None of us had slept, including the dogs. We piled out of the car and immediately noticed the sweet pine scent in the air! it smelled like victory!

After gawking at the beautiful, huge trees and sunny skies, we grabbed what we could and headed into the cabin. Since Steve hadn't been there ...

... ride. I found the Jordanelle Lake along 189 and went down a short path to there to fill up my water bottles. I don't know if I was doing something wrong or not, but the water purification system I had bought back in New York didn't really work well. I got back onto 189 and just kept riding.
Now I was getting very, very tired, constantly looking at my map to gage how far I was from Heber. The lake was still in view, and I knew Heber was at least a few miles from the lake. I ...

350 mile drive, not much to see along southern Wyoming. Very stark country.
Disappointed with tonight campground. Nothing to do here if you don't have a boat. And if you do have a boat, the water levels are very low in this areas reservoirs. Tomorrow 400 miles into ...
