Huge day of travel this past 24 hours...6 hours and 3 train changes from Vernazza to the port town of Ancona (actually 4 train changes we got on the wrong train at Parma but fortunately could get off at the first stop and reconnected with the train we had actually booked on!) in my haste ...lost my hat! My goal had been to keep it until Croatia! Ancona is a "typical port town" however as we explored more we found some very ...

... pure ethanol. Kurt and I dragged our drunken selves back to the boat.

The next morning we woke to find ourselves on the island of Mijet and got to have a walk through its national park and had a swim in the lake, which was quite pretty. ... On the second day in Hvar I went to a beach about 40 minutes walk away with someone in the dorm who was also fancying a beach day - really nice beach worth the walk and after walking for that amount of time the sea was a very welcome treat! Had some lunch and a snooze (bit of a pattern forming here...) and then headed back to the hostel that evening. Went up to the terrace for a couple of ciders and sushi for dinner, and met loads ...

... When they came out they were so delicious, the best we've had in all of Europe! (And maybe even ever!) After lunch we stopped by the supermarket to pick up some juice and wax strips then went back to the hostel. We chilled out and Darren had a snooze, while I slowly waxed my legs while reading a book to keep it interesting! We got some new Aussie room mates, and we worked out how to use the TV in the room as a computer and watched Hangover 3 from ...

... Sophie’s last day we hired bikes and rode around to Jelsa to show off our dream, the package. Jelsa is in full throttle and is flooded with tourists and boats. The building looks better than we remembered and we are now deeper in love. We point out the mountains behind and remind her the land is there somewhere. We all want the package and have a meeting with agents tonight to see how their progress is going with the crazy man and the Belgium ...
