... and had to take a 45ish minute bus trip from the airport to the Midi bus station. We stupidly assumed midi meant the middle of Brussels. It didn't.
Not only was Midi a bus station but also a metro, train and chunnel station. You could also shop there. Basically it was huge. But, since we arrived there at midnight, it was basically abandoned. With, of course, the exception of the truly sketchy people. Note- never do that again.

... If you order a coffee, the cafe views to produce the best munchy to go with it-we had everything from chocolates, to buns, to biscuits, to doughnuts-all free. Marvellous.
Of course, it is justly famous for itīs chocolate...so we became best customers for two weeks of a little shop near the cathedral. By the end the owner was giving us free samples. Donīt know how green that was, but didnīt care.
