... my budget by buying another. Next time, perhaps. So what I have learnt from re-visiting Holland and Belgium is at how much a personal impression of a city creates that city. Like Calvino alludes, a city is invisible and a fluid thing, made up of people and their stories. On Sunday morning we were meeting up with Bridget's Uncle Scotty (not her real uncle but a close family friend whom they call an uncle). We were originally being picked up by him at 10h30, but awoke to realize he was coming earlier now, and with the late night we had on Saturday we got out of bed about 15 minutes before he was supposed to come! Please see photos. Please note that we ate two waffles today.

Oh and a few final points; the nice guy at our hotel gave us turkish treats and made me a really strong and sweet mint tea. Also there is an extremely friendly cat that lives in our hotel. It mews at you for a pat and sits on you whether you like it or not.
