    ... line and it was good that we went straight to the hotel. Saved €10 by booking in ourselves. I was taken up to the room by Attila, a very nice young fella who plays and teachers the clarinet. He started at the hotel today as the kids must be on school,holidays.

    Day 7

    We were up and on the road by 8am today. Todays ride is one of the longest of the tour.

    The rain had disappeared and we were left with an overcast and cool day.

    The first part of the ride was very pretty as we climbed the mountains then descended again to wander between farmland and small villages.

    ... enjoying the clear blue skies and walking the small beach. Next, we were told about Lake Heviz, another outdoor thermal spa, and we had to check it out. This was the third thermal spa we had been to in 4 days! We both agreed that this was the best one by far and also the cheapest.     ... lunch and rests in various scenic spots. One of them we watched a water snake with a head the size of a teaspoon, grapple with its dinner- a fish the size of a tablespoon. Eventually the fish escaped. There are lots of snakes in the water – we assume they are harmless as they are in bathing areas.
