For dinner we decided to try the Trattoria Nonna Clara, a quaint-looking place located a few blocks south of us in the Piazza Santa Maria Foris Portam, which takes its name from the adjacent church. ... Stevie Wonder started between 30 and 60 min late, so we were able to have a leisurely dinner before going in for the Backstreet Boys. It was fun. The city was a seething mass of (younger) people, all singing along to the songs, and on occasion, even drowning out the band. ... and we settled down to wait for mass...except mass didn't start. It was 11 and very few people were there so, I asked a man who seemed to work there and he told me the mass was at the Duomo. We knew that mass at the Duomo di San Martino had started at 10:30, but we headed over there anyway and caught the end of the homily - which was probably better for us, since our Italian isn't that great. Palm Sunday mass was presided ...

... We parked just outside the main wall and walked through a dingy underpass into the walled town. At this point we were all holding our breath because of the bad smell, but Ben said " mmmmm it smells yummy, like fish" ewe Once in, we saw the tourist information office and the two dads went to grab a map. Right next door was a bike shop, we thought it would be fun to hire some bikes and cycle round the wall to take in some beautiful views. Girls in one and boys in another off ...

... yup pizza for sure today. We wandered off and found the place....but with a different name.....seems the one recommended moved....but they looked like they knew what they were doing and they had vino and beer in the cooler.....and the gals at the table gave it a glowing we plunked er down and had a couple of awesome pizzas.

Pretty sure Mike would was a great riding day...even with the hail and stuff.
