... picked up a brochure and thought it might be a good thing to hear an African choir singing....the brochure mentioned something in Italian about Democratic Republic of Congo....what was lost in translation was that the proceeds of the performance were going towards building a well in the Democratic Republic of Congo, I think the choir were members of the local parish.....We didn't stay long.

... head out to explore. Do you need a map they ask at the front desk? Oh no we are not going far we say. Wrong, wrong, wrong we soon find out. Yes we did only go a few blocks but this city is one big rabbit warren of tiny lanes and they all look the same. ... on a bench whilst eating some of our lunch. It was so peaceful. We could of sat up there for hours. From where we were sat we could see the many church towers in Lucca as well as the tower with the garden on top of it.
