    ... spent the whole day there! We intended to leave from there and get pizza but when they all crashed in the car, we made easier dinner plans since a deep dish pizza takes 45 minutes to cook (so we discovered later when we stopped with three tired, hungry and cranky kiddos) after dinner, milkshakes and some play time we end today in Beloit, Wisconsin - tomorrow is a trip through cheese country!

    ... of years ago parts of Wisconsin were under ice and when this thawed, the Wisconsin River forced its way through the soft sandstone and eventually linked with the Mississippi River further west. During our duck ride, we passed sections of eroded sandstone from this event. Fudge is another speciality of this tourist destination so we stocked up for tomorrow night's gathering.
