    ... through customs and border protection without any issues however our flight to San Francisco was delayed twice and so didn't leave LA till about 12:30. Arrived at SF airport and was great to get around very new and organised. We caught the air train which is a driver less train that does circuits of the airport and surrounds and that got us to the BART train which runs from the airport to the city ...

    ... one of the trees, that's how wide they are!! There was a huge tree that had fallen from the weight of snow in the winter and you could walk all the way through the middle.. I didn't though I was conscious my ass might get stuck!! Braced myself for the uphill hike back and ended up walking on my own which was really nice, got to go at my own pace and just strolled along thinking about life... and food!! Made it to the top ...

    ... week of it especially in the summer and if you are up for trying say the biking or seg way as well as a beach visit. One thing to note is the high level of homeless, unlike other cities they seemed to be left in peace wandering around among the tourists asking for money but not menacing ( if you can call homelessness a peacefull state ) An odd situation, uncomfortable and strange yet accepting. The weather has been great , windy but hot, mum looks like a panda ...

    ... an AirBnB in the Hayes Valley area,west of SFO central. Great hosts Allison and David who made us very welcome, comfortable bed which we fell into and one of us managed a good nights sleep.

    A not too early start with a walk to the tramcar route down Market street and down to Fisherman's Wharf where we had a pleasant walk in the sunshine getting our bearings. We had to collect prepaid hop on hop off bus tickets but on the way found the herds of Sea Lions ...
