    ... us a room on a holiday weekend within an hour and Quality Inn cut our room rate in half for the next week. By far the biggest shout out I have is for Jim (the manager and I think owner) of Harley Davidson Ukiah and his good friend Sandy.     ... only almost killed us twice. Once when Suzanne was asleep so don't anyone tell her. Today will be our last day driving around the coast, we head inland a bit. Our next stop was at the Chandelier Tree, neither the tallest or the “biggest” tree alive on the planet but it’s right up there as a close silver or bronze.     ... s in Mendocino. It is located upstairs in a building and you have a nice view of the harbor. Our food was quite delicious and we had a nice visit with the bartender who had grown up in the area and so knew the area. Another couple sat down next to us and we got to talking. They had just bought a house near Russian Gulch State Park and they and a view of the lighthouse. Had a nice visit with them as well.

    Back to the campground and called it a day.

    ... have included a photo of one tree that was harvested in the 1940's. The rings on this tree were counted, only to discover that it first started to grow in the year 20 A.D. !!! Jesus Christ was still a young man when this tree began its life in California.
