      ... floors were wooden from years ago. We were sat in a back room where there appeared to be a working fireplace, but thankfully, it was not lit today.

      Our server came over immediately and we decided on beer for lunch. Not sure what I had but it was good, same for Rich. Rich's meal was a steak and onion pie with puff pastry crust. I had the chicken and peach pie with the same crust. They came with peas and carrots and a huge amount ...

      ... was amazing and all the boats looked like they were full of smurfs from all the blue ponchos they hand out so you don't get totally soaked by the mist when you go past or right up to the falls. When you're in there underneath them the sheer magnitude of the falls and the amount of water flowing over the falls is unbelievable. Apparently there are a million bathtubs full if water that go over the falls every minute, it's hard to imagine that volume of water until you really see ...

      We continued east into the heart of southern Ontario. It is filled with vegetable and grain farms and dairies. Cities like Leamington boast that they produce Heinz ketchup or Hormel chili, etc. Most of the countryside along the 401 lacks the gaudiness if an American interstate.
