We headed to bed at a reasonable hour, and we were up earlish to bag our bags make the most of our day in Galesburg including a visit to Knox college. Meeting up with our friend Matt again for a quick drink before hopping back on the train onward to our next destination

Drove to a state campground next to the Mississippi-ugh pit toilets, no shower (we haven't showered in a couple of days) and overall yucky vibe. Found out about a city campground 12 miles north in Keithsburg, Illinois. Tired ...

... that the YMCA (who is bringing the circus to town) had wi-fi I could use.

We started the day with the alarm going off at 5:50a…UGH. There wasn’t enough coffee in the world that could wake us up enough to feel alive, but thankfully the adrenaline kicked in (for John, at least) and we were able to face the day. Which was a very good thing because we had a packed day…four schools ...
