Historical Traveler Reviews Grandview Gardens Bed & Breakfast West Palm Beach

    Great Mother's Day Weekend

    from

I selected the Grandview Gardens Bed and Breakfast as the lodging for my mother's day gift of a trip to West Palm Beach for my mom. Our stay at this bed and breakfast was one of the highlights of our trip. Upon our arrival we were greeted with extreme hospitality by the owners. Our room was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The beds were especially comfortable.

Each morning of our stay we were treated to a wonderful and delicious breakfast served on fine china. The service that we received made us feel as if we were staying at a 5 star hotel, however, the total charge for our stay was most affordable and economical.

The scenery of the grounds of the Grandview Gardens Bed and Breakfast was an extra added treat. The flowers were breath taking and the landscaping was neatly done. I must say that the Grandview Gardens Bed and Breakfast definitely made my mother's day gift a hit and I will be staying there again on my next visit to West Palm Beach.

    Wonderful tranquility

    from

We found Grandview Gardens on the Internet. The pictures show exactly what you get.

Rick & Peter, the owners, are so wonderful. They thought of everything, they even set the table just for us every morning @ breakfast.

Breakfast was not your typical continental breakfast. Fresh squeezed orange juice, fruit, yogurt, and more!

Local hotels really are no match. The personal attention combined with good rates, they are unbeatable. If we wanted anything we need only ask.

The rooms were clean & comfortable. The bathrooms are nice sized, the closet as well. Our patio was nice too!

We will definitely be staying @ Grandview Gardens again!!

    Adored Grandview Gardens

    from

Grandview Gardens is an oasis in a wonderful historic neighborhood within walking distance of City Place, Kravis Center, Norton Museum and many charming restaurants. Our hosts Peter and Rick were absolutely charming and extremely accommodating. The weekday European breakfasts with cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheeses and pastries suited us very well along with wonderful coffee. The hearty weekend breakfast cooked to order was a real treat as well. The tropical gardens with private patios and entrances all surrounding a beautiful pool made the environment very relaxing. Large rooms with every possible amenity (even an umbrella in the large walkin closet) made the stay very comfortable and an excellent value. Information about exploring the area was very helpful, particularly the personalized suggestions about new and off the beaten path places. We look forward to returning on future visits to the area.

    Great place!

    from

My husband and I came back from a three night stay at this B & B that I found on the net and had read reviews about from this web site. We were very pleased with the place in all ways. The owners are great and went out of their way to accomodate our special needs ( extra tissues and cold meds since I wasn't 100% well ). They picked us up and took us to the airport in their van and offered to take us to near-by places since we didn't have a car. The physical facility and grounds are very lovely with huge and spacious rooms with no expenses spared in bedding or decor. The pool was great and is a nice feature since many B & B's don't have a pool. Two things that should be mentioned are that there is a continental breakfast on the weeks days and a full breakfast on weekends only. The breakfast was perfectly fine but some people might expect more if they weren't aware. Also, the place is in a lovely neighborhood that you can walk around in but it is on a street where traffic can be heavy, at times. Neither of these things would make us not return, however, since the other great features about Grandview Gardens were so outstanding. Thanks for a great stay!!!!!

    Sublime

    from

We stayed at the Grandview Gardens B&B in West Palm Beach for a week while doing and art fair (as dealers) at the new convention center. Aside from the convenient 10-minute walk to the convention center, the stay at Grandview Gardens was extremely pleaseant. The house and rooms are lovely, clean and tastefully decorated. Our hosts went out of their way to assure our comfort including caring for one of us who developed a sinus cold that needed attention. They couldn't have been more helpful and kind--and this during a wedding they had going on at the B&B during part of our stay. We never felt neglected, the opposite, in fact. Breakfast was nice and healthy and the whold atmosphere was perfectly suited to our needs. Very personal and at the same time, we felt at home and relaxed. No hotel could give the kind of attention we received and, under the circumstances, Grandview Gardens excelled in how they took care of us. We would go back every time we're in West Palm Beach. Hospitatility in paradise

    from

Grandview Gardens certainly is paradise: beautiful and spacious rooms, a wonderful pool and tropical gardens - just a bike ride from the beach or a walk over to shopping and entertainment. What really made my stay different are the owners Rick and Peter: they know how to make you feel at home, are great tour guides and always know that little extra spot to visit, I never would have found on my own.

    Love to come back

    from

although close to downtown, very quiet location in historic neighbourhood; beautiful house surrounded by tropical vegetation; nice pool; very clean and tastefully decorated rooms; innkeepers really do care; we will come back!

    Little Paradise

    from

Being in the industry myself it is a delight to once in a while discover a place which does keep those promises you keep hearing about.

A beautyful and peaceful spot, tasteful, great attention to detail, hosts that really do care and simply make you feel welcome every minute of your stay.

    I will be back.

    Had a great time there

    from

Beautiful house, very tastefully decorated, tropical gardens with nice pool, very pleasant athmosphere also due to the innkeepers.

... compared to our last cruise (when we met our lovely LA Gang), was very comfortable. In fact, the suite was more than double the size of our previous cabin - it might be safe to say it was the size of our living room at home. We were pleasantly comfortable and had two large windows through which to enjoy the sun, seas and ocean views.
Chundun served us drinks and he was quite funny. He was very clear that it would be him that served us for the cruise but ...

... I am blown away and, yet again, speechless. I can't honestly say I have ever been speechless so frequently in such a short space of time. WOW. Needless to say, I am both grateful and excited. What an amazing holiday.
We continued our visit late into the evening until we had to face the fact that we still had an hour's drive to check in to our newest 'home' in Weston. So, hugs, love and gratitude all around, off we drove into the night continuing our adventure.

Andy had then a squit touch cloth and needed a quick dash to the bathroom. Being it had affected us both now, we have put this down to the prawns yesterday, as neither of us had taken the veins out & had both noticed them too late after eating most if them !! 2 Sum (to be renamed) is a great boat, in great condition, but she is not outfitted for cruising. What I mean by that is that her systems, tankage and overall fitout require her to return to marinas every 1-2 weeks. We need to get the boat to the point of being self sufficient, allowing her to remain independent from marinas for 3 or 4 months at a time. Getting a vessel to this point ...

Friday, January 27 (Chris' birthday) - We took a trip via dingy to the mall nearby for a few things. Sitting in the cockpit later the winds died completely and into the anchorage motors Bud & Eileen from Winnepeg on Sea Camp. We met them here in Lake Worth last year while we were waiting to cross the gulf stream and we've kept in contact. They left Fort Pierce today running into two squalls on their way.

Saturday, January 28 - Moonride got a slip at Old ...
