... stop signs; we went five streets without seeing one, not just the street we were driving but the side streets as well. Besides these oddities there lies another: Midwestern reserve. The people are as nice as can be, but typically have the sense of humor of about half a rock. It reminds me of reading about Nebraska's own, Henry Fonda (a personal favorite), and his offstage behavior. The majority of actors, directors and crew members said he was a decent man - a little hard - but ...

... our fossils. The site itself is 7 miles from nowhere outside of Royal, Nebraska, and as flat and straight as the drive in had been; it became the rockies as we wound upwards to Ash Fall Fossil Beds. From the get-go we were on our own, as the curator was busy with a small busload of college students from Iowa State University. Back at Blue Ox

A travel blog entry by pykesonthego on Aug 13, 2014

We got back here yesterday, picked up the car, complete with new baseplate, and we were trained in how to hook it up when we're ready to. This park is SOOO nice, with concrete pads, great power, internet, grass, and beautiful landscaping. And at ZERO cost, it sure can't be beat, even though it's in Pender!
Getting a tour of the Blue Ox Tow Products plant tomorrow.

ARrived here this afternoon - our site was waiting for us, and tomorrow morning, we'll leave the Camaro here so Blue Ox can design and build a baseplate for it.
Very weird driving by Thurston Avenue this afternoon - spent way too many hot summer days and nights there visiting my exe's Aunt Nina!
