... Mozart used to live, but now I think it's a school. We then walked over the bridge to the other side of town- Altstadt (old part of town). It was a really beautiful, peaceful day. Salzburg isn't nearly as crowded as the other cities, has more beautiful landscapes, the weather was nice and there were musicians on the bridge playing. In Altstadt we went into several souvenir shops on Getreidegasse (a famous, old street). This is also the street where Mozart was born which we saw.

Lost day, unexpected Austria

They're europeans....they are sufficiently impressed with someone who drives a formula car. We saw many sights in Salzburg. Salzburg seems to pride itself on Mozart and the Sound of Music. I think it would be more accurate to say that the town is obsessed with Mozart. Every few shops, there is another shop selling Mozart chocolate or other souvenirs. Mozart was born in a house in the main shopping strip, I later found out.
