This was a small area that contained a man made lake with a little bridge to an island in the middle, several species of mature trees (named) and a small rotunda and a courtyard garden. Very pleasant to wander around in the warm summer sun. Adjacent to this garden is the Gong, another lake, across which were swimming coots, moorhens and ducks. Judge for yourself - it looked like a small English lake.

Christmas Day in the Sun!

Great Ocean Road - Part II
After an nice sleep in the Oatway Park, we started the second and last part of the Great Ocean Road. We had to be around Melbourne tonight to drop Justine off to her friend's place on Friday morning.
We went through Apollo Bay, had a nice walk at the Sheoak Falls, ate lunch at Bells Beach (famous surf spot) and visited the Surf Museum in Torquay.
We spent the night at a caravan park to make ourselves nice and fresh for the big city ;-)

... br> A short drive away is Ballarat, with it's beautiful historic buildings and rich history I will be looking forward to exploring this city more thoroughy. Lovely country towns await and I feel we have found a very special patch of Victoria indeed.
