Fortunately we had an 11:35 AM flight from Madrid to JFK so we didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn. A direct flight is always better! We actually took off on time. Time to read trough my journal and look at some photos and start processing our trip. Always something that I do on a return flight. Thank you Steve Jobs! The iPad makes it so much easier. Our drive from New Jersey to the Hamptons took us up through New York. Sounds daunting but the roads and bridges just roll on though Brooklyn, across Staten Island then up through the Hampton Bays.
The Hamptons lives up to it reputation having very, very grand houses on large, manicured properties. Lots of lovely (and expensive) shops in the quaint villages and long sandy ...
