Selma was a small worn out place but it is a very important part of history. Selma is where the civil rights walk happened. I think the city should of been more cleaned up because the president was there. I was thinking the city would be a little bigger but it is really small. Not much to say about it so next place is Pensacola by the coast. We will be headed there next then Mobile and then New Orleans. Yay but I will keep posting so keep checking in. Thanks again. ...

... to head to Selma Al ,a place that we lived in for a year and a half while John was in pilot training and which we last saw 47 years ago. We just arrived and are staying at an Army Corps of Engineers facility on the Alabama River which is lovely. I will let you know what has changed in Selma and what is still the same. ... it takes him 2 hours on a motorized mower where you sit on, of course, to cut the grass. We had two very memorable days with them catching up with all the happenings of years gone by. Saturday, Angela Livingston, Gini Steinberg and I enjoyed walking around downtown Selma and even crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge. We met Kelly, Meredith and Kathy at a Mexican Restaurant downtown for lunch.
The 6:00 PM wedding was at First Baptist Church and the reception afterwards was at Sturdivant Hall. ...
