... for lunch in a little lay-by but instead of setting up our chairs off the road and in the shade as you would normally, we set up right bang in the middle of the road. We could see for miles in either direction and slowly eating our sandwiches. Apart from the tumbleweed floating past, nothing else came! I even got naked to try russell up some interest. Only as we were packing up and starting to move on did a car come last waving as it did so. Everybody waves at you on the road, its a kind ...

Either way you'll want to be sure to take US1, also known as the Pacific Coast Highway, which runs north and south and has much better ocean views in the center of the state than further south. As I work my way further north in California, I must say that my opinion is greatly improving!

After taking many pictures at many of the Vista points including my own pullout to get a photo of the great Bixby Bridge, I decided to drive past the State Parks coming into Carmel, and drown myself in music to get pumped up for my next adventure. Walking along the beach on Ocean Ave was so much fun but the wind started picking up so i made the most of my time and hopped back in the warm car. Awaiting a call from a good friend, i tried buying my ...

      California, here we come!

Left Vegas about 8:30am after a pretty good night's sleep and a great dinner and a show.

Last night, Mesa Grill at Caesar's Palace was amazing and expensive. Dick and I had the classic margaritas. And, they were as good as recommended by the waiter. In fact, we had two each! I had two apps for dinner, blue corn lobster tacos with tomatillo, avocado, pickled red onion, habanera and fennel relish AND ...
