We flashpacked in Iguazu for a few hours - paid about 12 pounds to use the pool at the Sheraton and swam enough lengths to make the barman dizzy. It was bliss! And we did get another look at the falls too! Back in Buenos Aires by the evening, managed a cocktail in Mott (we were thinking of you Mark y Warren) then packed up after a couple of days ready to head for Uruguay....
Buenos Aires, Argentina dawnandphillBack in Buenos Aires for a day and night - and boy is it sticky! I think thunderstorms are well over due.... we´ve spent the day mooching around Palermo, and are just in the process of trying to put everything back in our rucksacks that must have come out of them at some point, but I don´t know how.... Next stop Hotel Gonzo in Santiago! I think we have time to squeeze in a last steak for Phill and almost certainly a last cocktail or two for me!

... his invitation or to look away. Well last night I thought for sure this guy, from a few tables away, had invited me to dance. So I stood up and he walked right past me to another woman sitting next to me. I felt so foolish. I know this happens all of the time, but you don’t want it to happen to you. Another gentleman saw this, smiled and invited me to dance with his eyes. He spoke English so we laughed about it. Katerina reports that ...
Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina jalswaDay 2 – Bs As:

The next roomate I meet is Juan from Colombia, another fellow traveler who has both never traveled alone, nor been outside of his own country. On the second day, after I time traveled directly from the taxi to the next morning in the bunk bed, Jackson, Juan and I go out for breakfast and fresh orange juice. I have to check out by noon, so with my bus leaving at 9pm that night I spend the rest of the day playing tourist. There are many photos to ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina mikey_jamesBack in Buenos Aires and took a half day trip out to the Tigre River. Short little side excursion about an hour outside of BA. Anyway, Today is the last day in BA and headed up north to Iguazu Falls which is on the border of Brazil. With limited funds, hope I can make it to the other side!
Tigre, Argentina lyoon1971... so we decided to check it out. We had a good taste of some of the city's culture, then it was time to make our way over to the Mecca for meat eaters.

Dinner, as I emphasized before, was phenomenal and filling. We ate no less than fifty (50) ounces each of different meats including rack of lamb, chorizo, chicken and a few different cuts of beef. The salad bar was perfectly stocked with multiple types of salads (my favorite was the caprese salad with Roma tomatoes ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina johnnytravel... marvelled at the number of combinations of ham and cheese that could be created on one menu.

To have both ham/cheese on toast, and Croque Monsieur as two options was certainly creative. I ordered bruschetta instead, and got ham and cheese on toast...

Our best night out was when Clau introduced us to Tango. Absolutely packed with young dancers ready to dance all night long, we learnt a couple of moves and were soon blending in like the ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina frizzy1... wait before we could leave the stadium at the end of the game and due to a hitch with the transport back to the hostel, we were treated to a beer and pizza - dinner sorted was then. On returning to the hostel, I got chatting to a couple from Adelaide, Australia, who had actually found Conor´s bag when they´d arrived in the middle of the night - & they were pretty certain the Peruvian guy they checked with, handed it in to reception. This ...
Buenos Aires, Argentina coleauxv... way from a stall selling old maps, across the way from a stall selling brass door handles and then turn a corner and there is another selling fine worked lace? And there are street performers every few metres - from full tango orchestras, to mime artists, to puppeteers and jazz duos nd African rhythms. The prime position is at an outdoor cafe in the Plaza Dorrego, near where a quartet of older dancers and guitarists have probably ...
