... NOT my fault...Mr. John decided that HE needed a chocolate chip frappe! Of course I helped him out with it but I really didn't need one. Really. I promise. Truly. Closer to Missoula the trees became much larger. Some of the big hills we passed showed evidence of past forest fires. They looked so barren...it was sad to see. We couldn't quite understand since the sun was shining, and the cloud cover was very light. Somewhere in Montana, we could distinctly smell wood smoke, and it finally occurred to us that the haze is from wildfires. Of course! And sure enough... there are currently 5 fires burning in Montana, 2 on its borders, ...

... to find him in the next state!

Our journey across Montana took forever since Tommy had to drive about 50 due to winds that nearly blew us off the road. Thank heavens for a sway bar that he added to the RV. Otherwise, we may be in a ditch somewhere!

We stopped in Bozeman, MT and went to the SIMMS factory. They make fly fishing gear and apparel. The factory does not conduct a tour, but the girl at the front took us ...
