Today was to be a busy day and everyone was very excited! Roz and Rob headed over to pick up Rosie and the four of us piled into Roz's Honda Jazz and headed into Manchester, Trafford Park. First stop was the snow dome - Chill Factore.
It was fantastic - it was quiet, I guess because of the New Year, we took the kids to the snow park, it had a luge, donuts with moguls, and a straight ...
First event was a puddle which had iced over and then we had to stop at the railway crossing. The train that went by had a roof covered in snow...but the kids missed it! When we made it to the seafront (Marni still walking, although we had done 1,2,3....swing! - Brody is just too heavy though.) There was snow in the Lakes District hills. Yeah...very exciting. We walked along the seafront and went into the first pub we found ...
... boots have touched the mud yet! I couldn't coax her on to the equipment or flying fox, so we walked around watching the kids play and following Brody. We did see a cute little squirrel and she did get down and walk across the little wooden bridge with me a few times.
After the adult toes and fingers were numb, and about an hour had passed, we decided to head back ...
Well Brody was up early today!! Surprise! He actually didn't sleep so well, in the hope of seeing or hearing Santa. He does wake up super happy! Whereas Marni....."I too tired to go downstairs and open my presents, I just need to lie down and have my milk first....turn the light off please, its too bright" oh princess..
Brody sorted her out pretty quickly and off they went very happy ...
Matt returned and we went for a quick walk to Bare and the Morecambe seafront to and made sure that we were back in time for the arrival of the Embrey family, Liz, Mike, Alexander, Lincoln and Annabelle. The Morecambe seafront was blowing a gale and was very icy cold - a northerly wind.
Liz and Co arrived and we had a family afternoon together with Suzie's clan, ...
