... This was a fascinating museum that includes exhibits on cowboys, rodeos, Western life, and a large variety of western art. Original works by Charles Russell, Frederic Remington, and Ansel Adams were on display. Exhibits were also dedicated to a sample Western town, Hollywood westerns, firearms, boots, camping out, and many other elements of cowboy (and cowgirl) life. We really enjoyed the museum and would recommend it to anyone traveling through OKC.

Literally... today we drove from Springfield to Oklahama City, through Kansas. Kansas owns only13 miles of the route 66 road, so it was a quick trip through this state. ... right in the heart of the city. Bliss We went to visit the memorial garden for the 168 victims who died in the Oklahoma bombing 1995. Such a wonderful symbolic memorial to share with everyone. Each life is symbolised by a memorial chair made of bronze and stone which rest on a glass base etched with each victim who died in the blast. The chairs light up at night as beacons of hope.
