... by had a roof covered in snow...but the kids missed it! When we made it to the seafront (Marni still walking, although we had done 1,2,3....swing! - Brody is just too heavy though.) There was snow in the Lakes District hills. Yeah...very exciting.

... We enjoyed some canapés washed down with some sparkling wine, and listened to a speech from the Captain as well as watching a presentation showing the future FOCL cruises. Then it was time to go to lunch. :-)

Afterwards we went back up on deck to do another five laps, and we noticed it was quite a lot colder, and there was a strong wind blowing at the port side bow.

... in July 2008. We are leaving from Liverpool to head north, up the coast of picturesque Norway and ultimately to 70º north, well above the Arctic Circle. Our aim is to catch a glimpse of the elusive Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights. 2014 is supposed to be a good year for aurora, due to a lot of solar activity this year.

We got up at 6.00am and finished our packing and sorted ourselves out in time for our taxi, which arrived at 7.00am exactly. ...
