So we booked an airport hotel, mostly to get the parking for 32 days...And we lucked into this strange grand opening of a bar. Chock full of a mix of East Indians and local sixty and seventy somethings dancing to lounge singer Lance Diamond! Different to say the least ... Not only $2 Canadians but we won a game with the Molson girls and got all kinds of swag! A fun and off beat way to start this trail...

... time I experienced the Maid of the Mist, I expected it to be a waste of good money but I was wrong. Once again, our group was given a light weight raincoat with a hood, we walked on board and everyone picked a spot on the outside railing of the boat. Nach New York sind wir noch mehrere Tage in New York geblieben, im Bundesstaat naemlich, der ist durchaus ziemlich gross. Besonders schoene Tage haben wir in der Naehe von Ithaca verbracht, welches besonders durch Zungenbesckenseen gepraegt ist, die das sich zurueckziehende Eis hinterlassen hat.
