Okay, maybe not the fact that even in South Africa, like West Africa, taxi drivers don't know where they are going. We're staying at the Backpackers Ritz which is about 15 minutes from the city but in a predominately wealthy area full of massive houses and expensive cars. White's are served by blacks in restaurants and shops while 15 minutes down the road there are parts of the city of Joburg with large black ghettos with no white people ...

... and the Cradle of Humankind which is about an hour outside of Jo'Burg. Passed a lion reserve and magically happened to see 2 lion strolling along the fenceline! They didn't look to be obsessive about it so think it was just freak timing on our behalf rather than them pacing their enclosure. Almost back to normal as far as jet lag is concerned – as we are no into our 3rd day here. We went to the Sandton Mall the first two days and were taken there by the hotel's courier car.
