We have been here a week. We met up with good friends Ken & Chris Kaleta here for the week. It was such a nice resort. We swam in the pool, played ping pong, ate a lot and did some gambling. We did a few day trips to Amador City and Sutter Creek. Lots of wineries in this area, so we did some wine tasting ...
... games to play, a beautiful walking/biking path and pavement n' lush green grass. Of course the beautiful casino is a plus also. We plan to do some exploring of historic towns and antique stores, and also some wineries while we are here.
It is still hot. When we were boating on the Sac River on Labor Days the temps were 103 degrees . Now we are down to the low 90's. More later this week with pictures.

Today we arrived at our campground at BEALS POINT, at FOLSOM SRA.. Nice spot with full hookup, except no TV reception. Oh well, we plan to be busy this week. After we cleaned up and got situated we drove a short distance to sister Diane's house.. My nephew, Aaron was home. I had not seen him in about 8-9 years. Also, great- nephew Levi was there.. He is 19 months. Then we went to a Bistro at a "Center"in Eldorado Hills for a concert outside. Great weather, good, band, people ...
We left Tahoe on the afternoon of Aug 27th. The drive Down HWY 50 to Placerville was beautiful . We went from 7,000 ft to around 2,200 ft. in a couple of hours. Lots of hairpins, climbs & a 6 & 7 percent downhill coasts. Pulled into REDHAWK casino and sister Cheryl was there in about 30 minutes to greet us. Her and I went ...

A few hundred people that night enjoyed the ranch party, company, country music, shooting, cowboy hats and checkered shirts, fire pits and fiery steel drums, meat fried on the BBQ, never ending catering, fireworks and of course a 12 hour open bar with enough Sierra Nevada kegs and top shelf liquor to sink a ship. It was one hell of a Ranch Party. How fortunate we were to be a part of that. Thank you Jeff and Kelly.
