(Side note, Independence Hall is where both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed.) I take some pride in that, as a child, I was allowed to touch the bell. ... a good 4.5hrs away.

We complete the drive and check into the campground around 3pm and pay for 2x nights at $22 a night. We drive around and pick a site with lake views, set up our tent and relax. We’re pretty exhausted and figured we would go and see the Falls tomorrow, so we headed back into town to find a Walmart as we had to re-buy pillows again.

... Days Inn in New Stanton, PA. The room was nice, the beds were comfy and the breakfast was nice in the morning. What a surprise when we noticed that the noise that we were hearing in the background was a construction crew that was working to clear away the awning by the front door that had collapsed overnight! OOPS!

We had better hit the road on this rainy morning. travel maybe a bit slower today.

... National Road, now route 40. The Mount Washington Tavern was a stagecoach stop for early settlers. Today it is a museum dealing with life along the Road.

Since we got there late in the afternoon, we did not get a chance to tour the museum, but we did get to see the fort and see a video about it's history. There was also a playground for kids and old ***** acting like kids.
