Back at the hostel and slightly cold, I hook up with three other girls in the dorm who want to experience the local night-life - after all it is a Friday night. With some local advice we locate the first bar and a group of girls dancing to the MacBook disco celebrating a 30th Birthday. Then on to the next where we find a live band and party atmosphere.

Next stop is Parc National de Miguasha which is a UNESCO World Heritage site because this is home to one of the oldest discoveries of fossils in the world. Some of the fossilized fish and plants existed some 380 million years ago. We toured the museum area and went for a hike to see where they are actually excavating and discovering new (old) fossils.

... out to it. We were able to hike to the lookout and see Perce Rock on yet another beautiful Fall day. The south side of the Gaspe is gentler sloping country, farms, fishing and beaches but as we went to the north side we discovered a much ruggeder coastline.
