Today (Saturday) we're having a day off and spending it at the Speke Resort in Kampala. It's a very smart place on the shores of Lake Victoria and has a large swimming pool.
Juliet was about to apply her sun cream when we noticed that what she thought was sun cream was actually Spanish hairspray. She had been using it all day yesterday at Sanga and wondered why it had not been very effective!

He also saw a policewoman who was delighted to receive a pair of bi focals which fitted her perfectly. He saw 35 people today! ... Matt and I tried out the Irish Coffees....v. good.

Marni and Brody were in good form today. There was an elderly couple sitting behind us waiting to be picked up by their driver who was stuck in the snow. Marni and Brody entertained them for most of our lunch. It was very cute and it definitely made the couples wait more enjoyable.

After our lazy lunch we walked back and the kids walked back along the wall again.

Walks to Bowness and Grasmere

... it was the track taken by the coffin bearers from the smaller villages to the cemetery.

We walked upward for a great view of Grasmere Lake. The area is known as the home of Wordsworth.

There were beautiful reflections on the smooth lake. There was no chance of getting lost as there were numerous people with their dogs on the paths. It was probably only 10kms in total but it felt a little longer
