... moors. The pink and purple of the heather makes for beautiful scenery, however they do lack the Wuthering Heights type bleakness of a few days ago and in Scotland. Only 3 more days to go now, the time has gone so quickly thanks to reasonably good weather, new boots and interesting people along the way. ... good) and the fish liquid was poured into the bowl over the fish. I was given a soup spoon for the cutlery and the fish was not tender enough to be flaked off with the spoon. Thus, I believe, tasty as it was, the fish may have been overcooked somewhat by the time it too had sat in the warm broth.

... to get there, oh well, we'd better get our walking feet on then! Left the site and walked the 2 miles or so DOWN into Keswick, out the other side through a few fields into Portinscale, gave a little wave to our cottage and followed the signs to the lake, several miles later we arrived at the bottom of Catbells, skirted around this and onto the waters edge, we weren't really sure where the carving was but soon ...

... was full so ended up driving a couple miles up the road and parking along side Crummock Water. Made our way along the shoreline and around to a lovely cafe where we had tea and cake, much hilarity was had as we had read a sign saying make sure the people are sitting balanced on the picnic bench otherwise it may tip, we found this to be true when I got up to go back in the cafe and Debs n Howard nearly ended ...

... sweet shop not the dog shop!) Then it was back to the site up the bloody great hill for a well earn't beer and shower. Tea of French pizza and fried French potato cubes ( blooming delicious). Spent the rest of the evening sat outside the van chatting with Deb n Howard, using Miss Meg as a hot water bottle, no clouds tonight so had got a tad chilly. Lots of Ooooo do you remember this place in Wigan tonight, but all in all a lovely evening. Off on another walk tomorrow. ...
