        ... from Yorktown, VA to St. Louis, MO to catch a flight to Oktoberfest in Munich. That means 1150 miles or 77 miles per day average. On the way back to St. Louis during the first week of October I might add a fleece shirt, Patagonia nano puff jacket, rain pants and balaclava.

I was totally shocked and went to talk to him about it, and he said he had problems with the guy before, and if I wanted to watch a movie with him I had to get out his room right then - at 11.30pm on a Sunday night. I was so shocked and offended he did this, that I didn't even want to stay with him after he gave me an ultimatum like I am a child. So I packed up and stayed with his neighbour for the rest of my time in New York. ...

        We were very excited about Philadelphia as we were staying with another awesome American we met in Vietnam. Cassedy lives toward the west of the city (though not as far west as The Fresh Prince!) with Anna, whose parents own the house. It was her family home; her parents have since divided it into 3 sizeable apartments and moved outside of the city.         ... I noticed both feet were slightly damp so I put it down to all the walking in these new shoes. On inspection this morning, both soles of my shoes were split right across... Fgs less then 3 wears.... So here hoping its dry in Philly...

        Got on the 641 train to Philadelphia which was an express.. The train was quiet, I had electric plugs and took up a seat for four as I crashed bemoaning my shoe episode.... Hopefully find a Store in Philly...

        Well we did it again. Hit the ground running! Up early, bags packed, breakfast done and on the Amtrack train from Washington to Philadelphia. We only have one day in Philadelphia so we knew we had to make the most of it. Our goal here was to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall and anything else would be a bonus.
