The terminal began “awakening” at about 17:00, as several flights for Europe cued for departure. My gate changed to C1, no big deal, only one gate away from my original gate. ... for me. I know I'll meet lots of great people on the way, but this is me now, fending for myself and doing things for myself. I'll miss J obviously, but this is a really liberating feeling right now. It's similar to when I moved up to glasgow for the first time, a mixture of terrifying and exciting.
So, I leave from DC at 9.30am tomorrow, which means a relatively uneventful, much needed early night in. I'll fill you in tomorrow after my glorious return to NYC.
