So out of the DC pot and into the Orlando kettle (nice mixed metaphor), I returned to find Mary all fixed, although she will remain on injured reserve and ride the pine a while longer. Sadly, though, the beautiful house was one week away from the bank takeover.
Moving sucks, and no more so than in these circumstances, but Pete and Diane are upbeat ...
... outdoor fire pit, drank wine, had dinner and hung out until midnight. We laughed so much it felt like 6 hours went by in the blink of an eye. I can't wait until the next time we get to see them again.
The rest of the day was kind of boring. We did laundry and packed and started loading the car for the long drive home. Mom cleaned the house a little to get ready for company and we relaxed in the afternoon for a few hours.
I have long wondered what it would be like to live in an RV. One notion I have had for my retirement life is to roam the nation living in an RV. We would go from park to park, forest to forest, beach to beach, town to town. Stay a month, six months, or whatever. We would explore the wild and natural beauty of our nation, imbedding ourselves in each area and becoming part of the culture, the scenery, the vibe.

... to you, they may never come again. I find myself looking back on those days more and more fondly. I think we were burned out when we came back -- and perhaps that's the one thing we should have changed -- the pace. But so much in this world to see.....there are *very* few places I regretted seeing.
So here we are, back home, and while we're happy to be back, don't be surprised if another blog gets started a few years from now.
