A Hiker By Any Other Name Stinks Just As Much

A travel blog entry by jwatson on Apr 04, 2015

Someone asked me about my trail name the other day in the comments, and I realized I had mentioned it on Facebook and to individual people, but I never posted it here. My trail name is Wolf Pack, because of my resemblance to Alan in the movie The Hangover, especially when I'm hiking in my aviator sunglasses. In that vein, I thought it would be fun to list some of the names of people I've met on the trail. So with no further ado: Mooch (or Brightsider, or Bread and Butter, or ...

... delicious, and we left with those little "hats", crazy place!

The weather cooperated as we travelled along, temperature rising from 16 to 24. The clear blue skies would be perfect when we reached the Smokey Mountains. The driver makes the rules and decisions while they are in the Captains seat. He announced "Did you know you have to smoke in the Smokey Mountains?", he has a dry wonderful sense of humour. So I hauled out probably five extra pounds but ended up with a full set of hammocking gear for the $12 or so it took me to ship it ...

Menu Item: Ham & Hash brown Omelet

Notes: Came with onions and 3 buttermilk pancakes also

Comments: It was good but not as good as I hoped. There wasn't enough substance to the omelet. The pancakes were just average.

Overall Impression: Below average omelet with average ...

Menu Item: Reese’s Peanut Butter and Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Notes: Chocolate and peanut butter filled pancakes, smothered in peanut butter, and whipped cream

Comments: Hands down the best pancakes I’ve ever eaten. The peanut butter is real Reese’s peanut butter and makes the pancakes. The whipped cream and chocolate sauce drizzle ...
