... way to the Hwy 17 bridge at 8+ knots in the favorable breeze. Maggie did several stints at the helm and is getting the knack of handling the boat. She seems much more at ease doing this now and her earlier tentativeness has been replaced with confidence.

The comfort factor improved today, with sunshine and warmth instead of cold and shivering. I am definitely not a cold weather person and it felt good to go without a shirt for awhile during our sail up the ...

Today we said goodbye to Grandpops and Grammy (until Christmas) and started making our way home to VA.

We made great time to Florence, SC and decided to stop there for the night.

Andrew accompanied us to Cracker Barrel for dinner and he had a great time watching us eat :)

He enjoyed the king size bed again at the hotel and Daddy made him laugh so hard ...

Making our way through Virginia to North Carolina. Spent the night in Rocky Mount, NC at Walmart parking lot. Picked up groceries and supplies.
Traveling south to warmer weather. Stopped at Swamp Fox Campground in Florence, South Carolina. Already seeing signs of the old south and its relaxed way of life. Cotton fields a plenty along the road sides. Not sure if they harvest it. Looked like it was ...
